THE VENUE
The Abbey is the product of a 20-year friendship between a Zen Buddhist monk and a Druid priest.

Originally farmland, the Abbey still continues this relationship to the soil as a WSDA certified organic producer. There is also beautiful flower gardens and landscaping in the sacred spaces around the property. You will find rows of vegetable beds lush with greens in the spring/summer and fruit trees dripping with pears, apples and plums in the fall.
Yoga and Meditation Spaces
The yoga space, with its expansive windows and warm, grounding energy, invites practitioners to flow with intention and reconnect with their bodies.
Whether meditating alongside the monks, practicing gentle asanas, or simply soaking in the tranquil beauty of the land, every moment at Trout Lake Abbey nurtures balance, clarity, and a profound sense of peace.
Peaceful Grounds
The peaceful gardens and landscape at Trout Lake Abbey offer a breathtaking retreat into nature’s serenity. Surrounded by sweeping views of Mount Adams, the Abbey’s grounds feature lush organic gardens, vibrant wildflowers, and a tranquil lavender labyrinth designed for quiet reflection. A gentle pond invites visitors to pause, listen to the sounds of nature, and embrace the stillness of the moment.
Walking paths wind through the property, leading to open meadows and shaded nooks perfect for meditation or simply soaking in the fresh mountain air. Every element of the landscape is designed to foster a deep connection to the earth, creating a sanctuary for peace, presence, and renewal.
